Ingredient Analysis of Dr. Sheth’s Green Tea Calming Toner

Rarely it happens when I find that a product is made with minimal ingredients. Nowadays barely a product comes without extra additives like colour or fragrance. And, this is the point where the Green Tea Calming Toner stands out.

Ingredients of Dr. Sheth's Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner

It is made with 8 ingredients only. Let’s take a look at the ingredients to know the efficacy of the formulation.

1. Purified Water

The base for this toner.

2. Niacinamide

It is also known as Vitamin B3. Niacinamide is one of the most popular active ingredients used in the cosmetics industry. It improves the overall health of the skin by treating skin conditions like inflammation, acne, rosacea, etc.

And here, the best part is that Niacinamide has come right after water. It means a high percentage of this active ingredient has been used in the formulation.

3. Green Tea Liquid Extract

Green tea extract helps to treat acne and melanoma. Skin looks younger and rejuvenated with the continuous application of this extract.

4. Calendula Extract

In treating skin conditions like Eczema, inflammation, etc., Calendula extract works quite nicely. It also functions as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal component.

5. Phenoxyethanol

It is a moderately safe preservative and you would find it quite often in cosmetics.

6. Allantoin

As per EWG, Allantoin is a safe skin conditioning agent.

7. Disodium EDTA

This is one of the most well-known chelating agents that decrease the reactivity of the metal ions if any present in the product.

8. Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is one of the best anti-ageing elements that help to make the skin smooth & healthy by reducing the fine lines and other ageing signs.

But, as you can understand, Hyaluronic Acid is present here at the last. It means the percentage of this component is the lowest in the formulation.

Overall, I loved how simplified the ingredient list. It is one of the shortest that I have ever analyzed. The formulation is free from colour, fragrance, and other harmful components.

All the ingredients placed here are non-abundant and just what the formula needed. I am quite impressed with the component list. So, I would happily give the ingredients of Dr. Sheth’s Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner 5 out of 5 for the ingredient list solely.

Packaging, Texture, and Aroma

The toner comes in a regular plastic-made spray bottle. The bottle is dark in colour to prevent the product from sun rays and other environmental factors.

Packaging of Dr. Sheth's Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner

The texture of the toner is quite light in weight. It is not a quick-drying formula. So, it takes some time to soak completely by your skin cells.

As you had seen before that the product has no artificial perfume added here. So, the aroma feels very natural and refreshing. Every time I spritz it all over my face and neck, the fragrance completely soothes my mind.

My Experience with Dr. Sheth’s Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner

Dr. Sheth's Green Tea Toner

My Skin Type: Dry, Sensitive (no specific skin concerns like acne or redness)

So, it’s been 10 days now that I have not skipped this toner ever. Every morning and night I have religiously applied this toner. Here are a few things that I have observed so far.

  • Due to the light water-like texture, it becomes easy to spread it all over the face and neck. I use my hand to dab the toner. But, as the brand suggests, you can use a cotton pad too to apply the toner all over.
  • It is not a quick-drying formula; all you need is 30-40 seconds for your skin to completely absorb the product
  • Right after cleaning my face, whenever spritz it on, it feels quite refreshing.
  • After a long and tiring day, this toner can instantly lift your energy.
  • The formulation is quite hydrating and non-comedogenic. I have super dry and sensitive skin, but I have never faced any irritation due to the formula.

Is there Anything that I did not Like about Dr. Sheth’s Green Tea Toner?

The brand has not mentioned whether the plastic is bio-degradable or not. I believe it could have been much better if they had come up clean about it.
