Inside the formulation of the newly launched quench botanics products
Among the pool of Korean skincare brands, let's find out how different the formulation of Quench Botanics is.
Whenever we talk about harsh chemical-free well-researched products, Dr. Sheth’s is one of the few renowned names. I got introduced to the brand when it launched a Hyaluronic Acid based Sleeping Mask. And, I loved it.
The brand uses top-notch ingredients mostly in formulating its products. I fell for the honesty of the brand as they disclose everything.
Just a few weeks back, the brand launched a hydrating and calming toner. I was in a dire need of a harsh chemical free toner as mine from Minimalist got over. The order arrived within no time.
After using it for 10 days at a stretch, I am ready to talk about Dr. Sheth’s Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner in depth. So, without further ado, let’s hop in.

This summer get ready to give your skin the ultimate hydration with a calming toner. It is potent enough to take away all the dullness, redness.
Not only this toner makes your skin smooth but also reduces the appearance of pores. Awesome, right? This summer give your skin a refreshing and rejuvenating look.
Rarely it happens when I find that a product is made with minimal ingredients. Nowadays barely a product comes without extra additives like colour or fragrance. And, this is the point where the Green Tea Calming Toner stands out.
It is made with 8 ingredients only. Let’s take a look at the ingredients to know the efficacy of the formulation.
The base for this toner.
It is also known as Vitamin B3. Niacinamide is one of the most popular active ingredients used in the cosmetics industry. It improves the overall health of the skin by treating skin conditions like inflammation, acne, rosacea, etc.
And here, the best part is that Niacinamide has come right after water. It means a high percentage of this active ingredient has been used in the formulation.
Green tea extract helps to treat acne and melanoma. Skin looks younger and rejuvenated with the continuous application of this extract.
In treating skin conditions like Eczema, inflammation, etc., Calendula extract works quite nicely. It also functions as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal component.
It is a moderately safe preservative and you would find it quite often in cosmetics.
As per EWG, Allantoin is a safe skin conditioning agent.
This is one of the most well-known chelating agents that decrease the reactivity of the metal ions if any present in the product.
Hyaluronic Acid is one of the best anti-ageing elements that help to make the skin smooth & healthy by reducing the fine lines and other ageing signs.
But, as you can understand, Hyaluronic Acid is present here at the last. It means the percentage of this component is the lowest in the formulation.
Overall, I loved how simplified the ingredient list. It is one of the shortest that I have ever analyzed. The formulation is free from colour, fragrance, and other harmful components.
All the ingredients placed here are non-abundant and just what the formula needed. I am quite impressed with the component list. So, I would happily give the ingredients of Dr. Sheth’s Niacinamide and Green Tea Calming Toner 5 out of 5 for the ingredient list solely.
The toner comes in a regular plastic-made spray bottle. The bottle is dark in colour to prevent the product from sun rays and other environmental factors.
The texture of the toner is quite light in weight. It is not a quick-drying formula. So, it takes some time to soak completely by your skin cells.
As you had seen before that the product has no artificial perfume added here. So, the aroma feels very natural and refreshing. Every time I spritz it all over my face and neck, the fragrance completely soothes my mind.
My Skin Type: Dry, Sensitive (no specific skin concerns like acne or redness)
So, it’s been 10 days now that I have not skipped this toner ever. Every morning and night I have religiously applied this toner. Here are a few things that I have observed so far.
The brand has not mentioned whether the plastic is bio-degradable or not. I believe it could have been much better if they had come up clean about it.
Would I Recommend it?
Dr. Sheth's Niacinamide and Green Tea Toner has a brilliant formula that is soothing and free from harsh chemicals & additives.
The brand has no tall claims regarding the product. The toner does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is refreshing and indeed calms my skin & mind.
Overall, I would love to recommend the product and once I finish it up, would like to buy another bottle for sure.
