Ahaglow Face Wash Review: My 2-Month Experience with the Advanced Skin Rejuvenating Formula
It’s been a year since I stopped using face wash.
Before that, micellar water and a cotton pad were my go-to combo — and honestly, they did a wonderful job.
Still, my skin started craving a mild exfoliating face wash. That’s when I spotted this Face Wash and decided to give it a try.
I’ve been using it for over two months now. Is it worth the hype? Does Ahaglow Advanced Skin Rejuvenating Face Wash actually work? Let’s break it down.
Quick Verdict
So before getting into ingredients, usage, and my detailed experience, here’s the short answer for anyone who wants the conclusion upfront.
Ahaglow Face Wash is effective for acne-prone skin when used correctly and works best as a treatment-style cleanser rather than a basic daily face wash.
That said, despite having dry and sensitive skin, I personally found it comfortable enough for regular use when applied once a day and for a short duration.
As with most exfoliating cleansers, its suitability as a daily face wash depends largely on individual skin tolerance and usage.

Ingredient Analysis of Ahaglow Face Wash
As mentionedon the product label, Ahaglow Advanced Skin Rejuvenating Face Wash has altogether 13 ingredients.
As Cosmetics Arena is all about knowing the ingredients inside cosmetics, this product is no exception as well. I have analyzed all the components below; take a look.
1. Purified Water
Used as the base of the face wash.
2. Acrylate Copolymer
In this face wash, this components helps to stabilize the acidic pH effect of Glycolic Acid.
3. Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES)
A popular surfactant that is solely used to create foam or lather in this face wash.
4. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera contains AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) like glycolic acid, which help exfoliate the skin and improve texture.
5. Polysorbate 80
It helps dissolve or disperse ingredients (especially oils, fragrances, or certain actives) that otherwise don’t mix well with water.
6. Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acid
A mild cleansing agent that is quite skin-friendly.
7. Decyl Glucoside
Another mild surfactant that helps to remove dirt and oil without being harsh on the skin.
8. Coloured Millicapsules
Apart from adding a great sensory appeal to the face wash (that makes it quite premium), When crushed, these millicapsules might have a gentle exfoliating feel.
Breaking Tiny capsules can give physical exfoliation effect (though mild).
These tiny capsules remind me of another face wash from Lotus Herbals.
9. Glycolic Acid
An AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) which helps with exfoliation: it loosens / removes dead skin cells on the skin surface.
10. Phenoxyethanol
Its role is to prevent microbial growth (bacteria, yeast, mold) in water‑containing formulas, thus helping the product remain safe and stable during shelf life.
11. Fragrance
Generic term — it often represents a mixture of many chemicals. But, the brand has not specified anything.
12. Vitamin E Acetate
It helps neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress on skin.
Also may help maintain softness and prevent excessive dryness that can occur with surfactants or actives like glycolic acid.
13. Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)
KOH helps to bring or maintain the product’s pH at a level suitable for skin (neither too acidic nor too alkaline).
This ensures the product works effectively (especially when there are acids like glycolic acid) while being tolerable for skin.
And, that’s all.
Packaging, Texture, Aroma, and Colour
It comes in a simple, transparent plastic tube. With its colorful millicapsules, the face wash looks quite appealing.
The texture is gel-like and glides easily on the skin when applied on the wet skin surface.
Ahaglow Face Wash has a calm and pleasant aroma. Although I usually don’t prefer aromatic products, yet this one doesn’t bother me, as the scent doesn’t linger after rinsing.
It’s also a plus that the face wash is free from colorants and dyes, which can be harmful—especially for sensitive skin.

How to Use Ahaglow Face Wash
Always lather the face wash in your palms before applying—avoid putting it directly on your skin.
Crush the millicapsules as well.
Gently glide the face wash over your skin without rubbing or scrubbing any area.
Keep it for 10-15 seconds
Avoid massaging the face wash on stubborn whiteheads or blackheads.
Just use once a day and that’s enough.
As it has glycolic acid (AHA), hence use it in the evening.

Ahaglow Face Wash for Sensitive Skin? My No-Patch-Test Experience
My current skin type: Dry and sensitive; with zero acne
I had seen quite a few reviews before giving this face wash a try. All the reviewers unanimously said one thing: this face wash is strictly for oily and acne-prone skin.
Ahaglow Face Wash with Colourful MilliCapsules
But with zero expectations, I focused on the “Glycolic Acid” part and decided to buy this viral face wash, as I was looking for an exfoliating option.
I usually avoid using it during the daytime and found that evening is the best time to apply it, at least for me.
After removing all my makeup, I take a pea-sized amount in my palm, lather up the Ahaglow Face Wash on my wet face, gently massage for 10 seconds, and rinse off with cold water.
The millicapsules are easy to break and don’t hurt the skin at all. They simply melt with water.
I won’t lie—I was quite taken aback by the results. My skin looked a bit brighter after rinsing, and it didn’t feel stretchy or dehydrated.
In fact, the soothing aroma and the soft feel of the wash help take away all my tiredness every time I use it.

FAQS
Ahaglow Face Wash Side Effects
I have super sensitive skin and didn’t do a patch test before using it (a bold decision—so please don’t skip this step if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin!).
Fortunately, the face wash didn’t cause any issues for me.
Based on the concentration in cosmetics, some ingredients might cause trouble for people with allergic skin. But, with the right patch test, I feel Ahaglow Face Wash won’t give you any side effects.
Ahaglow Face Wash for Which Skin Type
It is generally found to be safe for oily and acne-prone skin. But, as I said, I am a person with super dry skin, yet loving this face wash.
I personally feel that the face wash is good for all types of akin as long as the recommended patch test is successfully done.
Are There Any Cons of Ahaglow Face Wash?
I would have been much happier if the formula didn’t include two specific ingredients: SLES and fragrance.
There’s also a slight issue with the packaging. When the tube is stored upside down, the face wash starts oozing out the moment you flip the cap open—even without squeezing. This often leads to unnecessary product wastage.
Additionally, the gel tends to build up and dry out around the mouth of the tube, which can feel messy. These are some of the notable drawbacks of this face wash.
And, last but not the least, the price in comparison to the quantity is a bit on the higher side.
And, that’s all for now. If you find this review helpful, please share it with your friends and family.
