My Skin Type: Dry and Sensitive
I rarely get influenced by skincare products promoted by celebrities.
I purchase skincare products only after carefully reviewing the components.
But, after watching dozens of reels and videos of Kriti Sanon applying Hyphen Sunscreen SPF 50, the logical part of my brain flew out of the window. I felt that it was time to splurge a little 😆.
It was November when I bought my first tube of this sunscreen.

Since then, after finishing almost two tubes, I finally decided to write this review on Hyphen All I Need Sunscreen SPF 50 based on real-world use.
It’s going to be a long ride. Keep reading with a bowl of your favourite snack.

The sunscreen comes in a tube which is pretty convenient and travel-friendly to use. The brand has launched multiple size options to suit different needs.
Neither gel-like nor creamy texture, the texture sits somewhere in between. It spreads easily and blends effortlessly into the skin.
The product has no aroma at all which is a blessing for people like me who hate scented skincare products.
I started applying this sunscreen daily from the month of November, when the weather was relatively pleasant in Kolkata.

Just a single dollop is enough to cover the face and neck. It just takes 15 seconds for the sunscreen to get absorbed completely. I usually layer sunscreen on the top of my moisturizer.
After blending, my first reaction was, ‘wow’. The formulation feels hydrating and comfortable on the skin.
It isn’t sticky at all. In fact, after an hour, I can barely feel anything.
The texture is light weight, leaves behind a subtle glow. Surprisingly, the glow remains intact for about 7-8 hours without reapplication.
My severely dry skin never feels stretchy. It feels highly nourished and hydrated. And, the feeling remained the same even during the harsh, drying winter days.
All of these photos were taken during my early morning walks along the ghats of Varanasi—under real sun, real heat, and real wear conditions.

Yes, slightly-if it enters the eyes. The stinging usually subdues within a few minutes.
Nope, not at all. Skin feels soft and glowing without any white cast drama.
Yes, it is. The same claim is heavily marketed by the brand as well.
However, due to the presence of Octinoxate and Avobenzone, people with sensitive skin should always do a patch test.
Since my job involves frequent crop field visits, I rarely get time for reapplication. But, just like any SPF 50 sunscreen, reapplication is required here after 2-3 hours.
However, if you are staying indoors, one reapplication mid-day is enough.
The short answer is no. In fact, the brand has never claimed this sunscreen to be water-resistant or waterproof.
This is not a promotional breakdown, but a practical review based on how the sunscreen actually behaves on skin.
Final Verdict: Good or Bad?
A thoughtfully formulated sunscreen that prioritises skin comfort and barrier health without compromising on protection.
While it may not be suitable for swimming or heavy outdoor activities due to the lack of water resistance, it performs reliably as a daily sunscreen for regular sun exposure.
Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills sunscreen that behaves more like skincare than just SPF, this one is worth considering.
