5 Rejuvenating Face Mask Recipes Using Rose Petals

I believe a rose is such a beautiful flower that almost everyone loves it. But, more than a beautiful flower, it is a powerhouse of benefits.

I can still remember how my mom used to apply the aromatic facial mask made with rose petals. Well! The days are long gone, but not the benefits. The calming benefits of rose petals are indeed amazing.

Since ancient times, roses are being used in beauty for their therapeutic properties. Rose essential oil, rose water, rose oil, and rose petals; altogether, roses are multipurpose.

How to Choose the Purest Rose Petals Powder

How to Choose the Pure Rose Petals Powder

  • The colour of pure rose powder will always be reddish but not deep red nor crimson nor pink.
  • The fragrance would never be strong but it would have a subtle fragrance of roses. Anything with synthetic rosey scent is not pure at all nor is safe for the skin.
  • Always take a look at the complete ingredient list. If the ingredient contains preservative, colour, or fragrance, it is not pure.
  • You can prepare dried rose petals powder easily at home too. But, the quality and the efficacy of the rose powder entirely depends upon the quality of the roses used. If the roses are produced organically, then only the mask would be pure & effective.

Last but not the least, applying just a face mask is not enough for naturally glowing skin. In fact, doing it for once before the big event is not enough too.

A proper skincare regime is required for long-lasting benefit. If you are looking for ways to make your skin beautiful naturally, then here goes a bunch of tips for that ultimate-pro glow.

And, that’s all for today! If you find the article helpful, make sure to share it with your friends and family. Take care; celebrate life.

  1. Hello Soma!
How are you? My apologies for the lengthy post..

I am 34 years old and I started skin care from past 1 year..

My skin used to be dry sensitive skin with slight oily T zone I used only Normal bathing soap and just talcum powder till my mid 20’s. I came to Bangalore at the age of 21 for job and after that got to know about sunscreen and started using it.

I never had acne on my face in my teenage years and I did my first facial at the age of 24 for my marriage (It might surprise you but I came from a town and didn’t visit parlor till my marriage is fixed) . At the time of marriage because of a bad facial I had acne break out but after some months those acne scars also get healed.
I started applying vicco turmeric cream from my mid 20’s. I do facial but not regularly usually before functions.

From past 1 year I am getting acne(not severe mainly on right cheek) and less on forehead other cheek and chin and after acne is healed it is leaving red scars. Skin has become little oily and suffering from large pores and rough skin. As of now I have tiny acne near eyebrow and most of the red acne scars on right cheek and large pores and rough skin.
During lock down for 2 years it was too hectic for me because of office work, household chores and 2 kids and had to office work even at night. My health got affected during that time.(I got typhoid kind of fever around February last year and had high dose of medication for around a month and had some radiation scans also.) This acne problem started after this and I suddenly had some facial hair also.. and large pores. after applying besan, turmeric, honey facepack for some days facial hair reduced.. I can see that my skin is not in good condition now. I am worried.

May be I should have started skincare before but I didn’t think about it before. After these problems started then I started browsing internet and found your site.. I liked the way you are explaining about products and got to know about what all steps in skin care.. I know about face cream and toner before but didn’t try.
The cosmetics I used till now from around June of last year:
    TNW vitamin C serum
    TNW rose water
    Nature tattva rose water
    Loreal white perfect daycream
    Mamaearth byebye acne cream
Good vibes neem and tulasi toner (currently using)
Now using mamaearth skin illuminating vitamin C products(face wash, toner, serum, face cream).

I don’t think there is significant change after using above products.

My main concern now is acne scars, large pores, rough skin.

I don’t use makeup regularly. I use only for functions.

I read about fullersearth, sandalwood powder, orange peel powder, kasturi manjal powder from your posts..

Shall I try any of these and if so from which brand I can buy these..

I am not sure whether this skin illuminating series is working for me or not. I felt my skin has become rough with very tiny rashes.. don’t know if it is because of this or not. I will stop these and check. My skin is sensitive and now I feel like it has become more sensitive and as I am 30+ skin aging issues will also start without proper care.

Could you please suggest some products for CTM routine..

Please excuse me for my lengthy post.
    Thanks in advance..
