Biotique Bio Carrot Ultra Soothing Face Lotion SPF 25 UVA/UVB Sunscreen Review

Skin Type: ALL Skin

Hello my dearies, welcome to CA. Today I would talk about Biotique Bio Carrot Ultra Soothing Face Lotion SPF 25 UVA/UVB Sunscreen. Pfffew..quite a big name.:P

This product came into my closet because I found the name Bio Carrot quite intriguing.:) Otherwise I was quite happy with my Lotus SPF 40 Sunscreen. Let us talk about it more.

Price: Rs. 115 for 50ml

Shell Life: 3 years

Product Description and Ingredients:

My IMPRESSION about Biotique Bio carrot Ultra Soothing Face Lotion SPF 25 Sunscreen

This soothing face lotion cum sunscreen comes in a standard plastic tube which is Orange-yellow in colour. I find the packaging to be attractive and a lovely product to show off.

The opening section is a simple green colour flip flop cap which works properly and does not damage nails.

I have been using this lotion daily since the last once a week. The lotion is off white in colour and the texture is creamy. My dry and sensitive skin feels properly moisturised afterwards. It blends smoothly without leaving any whitish cast. It moisturises nearly for 4 to 5 hours. The name ultra-soothing face lotion is quite justified.
The plus factor is that it did not cause me any breakouts.
The fragrance is not that good. I tried hard but could not resemble the smell with anything. It is neither herbal nor chemical.
Now, if I talk about it as a sunscreen, SPF 25 is not sufficient especially during winter. I sweat a lot and it could not survive long on my skin. In fact, to be honest I did not feel safe while using it as a daily sunscreen lotion. So, overall I feel it is a great moisturiser but no soo cool as a sunscreen.

Let me sum up the good and bad things.

PROS:

  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Moisturises properly.
  • Does not make the skin white.
  • Enriched with herbal ingredients (28%)
  • The soothing formula does not irritate the skin.
  • Suitable for ALL skin types.
  • Does not cause breakouts or zits.

CONS:

  • Only 2% carrot root is used, so the name Bio carrot is not appropriate at all.
  • As usual, only active ingredients are mentioned. What about the inactive components?
  • SPF 25 is not enough.
  • Not so pleasant smell.
***CA IMPRESSION: 3.5/5***

Overall, the verdict is that if you are looking for a daily face lotion which has an SPF factor, then this is a must buy for you. But, to use this as an effective sunscreen would not be a wise option. I would not repurchase because I have my raw butters.

That is all for today, love you, my dear sweethearts. Take care and celebrate womanhood.

Thank you for reading. Have you used this product? Please share your experiences here. Love you all.
